FD encourages Fireworks safety

As a reminder, City Ordinace prohibits the use or sale of fireworks within city limits. It is permited outside city limits. For those that wish to celebrate legally with fireworks, we offer the following tips:
1) Never allow children to play with fireworks without the superviosn of an adult.
2) Always follow instructions printed on the labels.
3) Use "punks" to light the fuse.
4) Never play with fireworks around combustible materials.
5) Never point projectile fireworks (i.e. bottle rockets) towards homes, people, animals or any combusible materils.

As always, thanks for reading my blog and have a safe holiday season.
