Weekend report for 10/28/07

Fire department responds to a shooting early Sunday morning at Club Eros. Emergency crews arrive to find a male pt with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was treated and transported to a local hospital where he later died.

On Sunday mid-morning, crews responded to a reported shooting at the intersection of Park and San Bernardo. On arrivial there was a male patient who claimed to have been shot at while in his vehicle. he sustained minor cuts to the hand from broken glass shattered by the gunfire.

A motor vehicle accident was reported at Mines rd and Las Tiendas road in the late afternoon on Sunday. Emergency crews report two patients transported in serious condition to a local hospital for treatment.

Busy weekend for Fire Department

Fire Rescue crews remained busy this weekend as they responded to several calls. Below is a summary of the more notable incidents:
Friday PM
A male subject sustained a laceration to the for head after playing in the vecinity of the railroad tracks. The patient was picked up from a residence at the 200 block of S. Buena Vista.

Fri. PM
Paramedics responded to a bee sting attack at IH-35 and Belteway Parkway. Crews arrived to find a male subject complaining of multiple bee stings to the head and upper body. He was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Sat AM
The alarm sounded for an assault call which involved a male patient between the age of 45 and 50. The incident occured at the intersection of McDonnel and San Carlos. He sustained a minor laceration to hus upper body. He was transported in stable condition to a local hospital.

Sat PM
A male subject was struck by roadwaork machinery at the 500 blk of Grand Central. Paramedics and fire crews arrived to find the individual in critical condition with obvious multiple blunt trauma. Crews attempted to revive the patient in route to the hospital. He was transported to a nearby hopsital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Mon AM
Paramedics responded to a reported gun shot incident at the 3900 blk of Vidaurri. The patient, a male subject between the ages of 30 and 35, was found to have possible gun shot wounds to his posterior. He was alert and responsive. Paramedics treated him and transported to a local hospital.
