The alarm sounded for a house on fire at the 1100 blk of Tilden. Fire crews from district 1 and district 2 responded totaling 4 fire engines, 2 ambulances and EMS supervissor and a District Chief.
Crews arrived and evacuated a male subject. He was taken to an ambulance where paramedics treated him for minor smoke inhalation. He was then transported to LMC for further evaluation as a precautionary measure.
Crews worked the scene for about an hour when it was then declared under control. Firefighters were able to save the majority of the home from further damage.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental by arson investigators..
