Gov. Perry has declared that the week of March 4th thru the 10th "Severe Weather Awareness Week" in an effort to raise the level of awarenss in our community regarding the impact severe weather has.
In Laredo, we want to inform the community of potential weather threats such as heavy rains that cause flooding and power outages and high winds that cause structural damage as well as hightens the danger when wildfires occur.
We want to remind the citizens to prepare, plan and stay informed when it comes to emergencies.
The Laredo Fire department will continue to publish information on how best to deal with natural and other emergencies.
